What is the best butter for one with elevated cholesterol. I will not give it up. I’d rather die happy than live without butter.

Thank you for giving me your professional finding and advise on the one thing I care about, and that is the taste of a finished product . Normally I’ve only tried one main unsalted butter for all my baking , when it’s hard to tell which one of the butter could have hormones and antibiotics in them. Thank you for the information and I will be reading labels on butter more what I don’t fed my family I surely will not bake for anyone else. Again I thank you a thousand times, I’m going to do a taste test of my own.

Is it okay to mix the butter brands? I bought Land O’lakes and Kerry Gold with the intent of mixing them together for buttercream frosting. The Kerry Gold is such a good quality butter but so yellow, that I thought I’d mix it with Land O’Lakes and see how that goes. However, if it doesn’t work out there goes $10 down the drain.

This is *exactly* the information I was looking for. I’m attempting the “purest white” buttercream I can make for a friend, and you’ve convinced me to give Vital Farms a try! Thank you so much for taking the time, effort as well as cost of doing this comparison!

Incidentally, I typically fill my butter bell with Kerry Gold (salted). It gives an absolutely delightful flavor to toast, crackers, etc. Yum!
